Alfred "Freddy" Bastone is or was a member of the communist Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO). Bastone once dreamed of attending West Point but became radicalized during the Iraq War. While a philosophy student at Hunter College in the late 2000s, he was a member of the radical Students for a Democratic Society. He was arrested for unknown reasons in 2011 and the FRSO came to his aid calling Bastone a "comrade". Bastone participated in a forum on Contemporary Maoism and Radical Politics in 2013. He was an organizer for Laborers Local 79. Strangely for a commie, he seems to be a practicing Catholic. Don't confuse him with the actor and DJ of the same name. https://archive.ph/6ttMj
