Notes

Derek Jimone Hall was arrested during a George Floyd riot in Houston. He tried to get into a video a YouTuber was shooting of the riot and when the man refused, Hall pulled out a wooden club with a nail in it and attacked the videographer. He then attacked the victim's vehicle and assaulted several other people. Hall jumped in his SUV to get away and struck a police officer with his vehicle with enough force to send her eight feet into the air. The officer wasn't seriously injured. Hall was charged with six counts of assault in total including one for assault on a public officer. Hall isn't a stranger to the legal system and seems to have been a drug dealer at one time. He had priors for possession of marijuana greater than 4 oz, manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, public intoxication and failure to appear. He was living in Houston at the time of the riots but is now presumably residing in the state pen in Huntsville. https://archive.ph/QdUhr https://archive.ph/OZewV
