Notes
Andrew Joseph Batcher (DOB: 01/15/81) attended the Charlottesville Unite the Right counter protest in 2017. He was active with Occupy D.C. in the early 2010s. He's been active in the peace, environmental, anti-racism, education and economic justice movements. Batcher is most notable for his leadership role in Shut It Down, an online group that opposed Jason Kessler's follow up to Unite the Right. Shut It Down was shutdown by Facebook for their use of multiple fake accounts. Facebook linked the accounts to groups sponsored by the Russian government. His group of course claimed the accounts were genuine. He has a Master's degree in Social Justice in Intercultural Relations from the School for International Training in Vermont. As of 2022, he was the Social Justice Coordinator for a Unitarian church in Fairfax, Virginia. Prior to his current appointment, he worked for a Unitarian church that provided sanctuary to illegal aliens. Batcher lives with his wife in Silver Spring, Maryland which must be one hell of a commute to Fairfax with D.C. traffic. https://archive.vn/VBm43 https://archive.vn/SQ3YL#selection-339.66-339.80 https://archive.vn/4OS5K https://web.archive.org/web/20220211174913/https://digitalcollections.sit.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=3614&context=capstones
