She's on the Steering Committee of Portland's DSA chapter and has social media connections to Antifa leadership. In 2021 she was promoted to a leadership role as internal organizing co-chair. She's also a member of a group known as "Socialist Alternative Portland ". Dodd has attended numerous protests in Portland, some of which were violent. In 2019 the KKK planned a rally in downtown Portland but didn't show up. That didn't stop Antifa from rioting and several Antifa were arrested for defacing monuments. Dodd gave soundbites to the press. She attended a socialist feminist #MeToo "speak out" in 2019. She seems to think Adam Smith's invisible hand gropes women's privates as she was quoted as saying, "So we can actually challenge the roots of rape culture, which, as socialists, we believe sexual assault and people feeling entitled to other people’s bodies stems from capitalism." She was also the main speaker at a "Medicare for All" rally in July 2021.
