Margot Brimhall Black, born Margot Osbourne, AKA Margot S. Black (DOB: 10/27/78) is a Portland tenants rights activist who is allegedly connected to many Portland Antifa members. Margot is Antifa member Sammy Black's ex-wife and she co-founded Portland Tenants United (PTU) with him. She resigned her leadership post with Portland Tenants United (PTU) in 2018 after she was accused of white supremacy. She ran for Portland city council in a special election in 2020 but came in sixth place. The attached Antifa social network map probably underestimates her importance within the Antifa community. Despite her math degree, Margot and Sammy filed for personal bankruptcy in 2014 and the couple has at least two state income tax liens. Additionally, Margot had a civil judgement against her in her native Utah. Black has a B.A. in math from Lewis & Clark and an M.S. in math from the University of Oregon. Black also has a law degree from Lewis & Clark. She appears to work as a math instructor at Lewis & Clark. She referred to herself as a single mom while running for City Counsel so she must have kicked Sammy out the door.
