She's a poet, musician and filmmaker who was at the CHAZ zone in June 2020. Apparently, her artistic endeavors weren't enough to pay the bills so she was working at a the Café Vita coffee shop near CHAZ. Van Petten helped supply rioters with coffee and said she did anything she could to support them. She was interviewed by CNN and said CHAZ is an "anti-racist" zone. She also falsely claimed that there were no ID checks and no violence or extortion. Van Petten now works as the marketing and communications manager for Sonic Guild.
