Notes
Nikkita R. Oliver (DOB: 02/11/86) is a Seattle BLM leader / community activist who pushes to defund the police. She's a lawyer by trade who ran for mayor on the Seattle Peoples Party ticket in 2017 but lost in the primary. According to Ballotpedia, Oliver was endorsed by the Alliance for Gun Responsibility Victory Fund and numerous SEIU locals. She taught a course at Seattle University School of Law in the Fall '21 semester on "Abolition" (of police, prisons, slavery??). Oliver is also the Executive Director of Creative Justice, "an arts-based alternative to incarceration and a healing engaged youth-led community-based program." Oliver all but admits she's working with Antifa in an interview on the left-wing website "Democracy Now" when she says, "I believe that our co-conspirators are an essential part of this movement, especially in a region like Seattle-King County. We are about 4% Black community within our city, and so having good, strong allyship — and I use “co-conspirator” very intentionally. What I will say is, this current uprising is the first time that we have seen a considerable amount of our white allies and white co-conspirators take to the streets in a sustained movement." Her advocacy business must be doing fairly well as she lives in a Seattle house valued at nearly $750K. Oliver claims to be a genderfluid queer and uses the they/them pronouns so please don't misgender they/them. https://archive.vn/ox0ic https://archive.vn/hMM1m https://www.nikkitaoliver.com/ https://www.seattletimes.com/opinion/editorials/nikkita-olivers-approach-bodes-poorly-for-seattle/ https://medium.com/@NikkitaOliver
