She participated in a May 2020 riot in downtown Seattle and was hit by a rubber bullet. She was also at the June 7th riot in the Capitol Hill neighborhood that led to establishment of the CHAZ/CHOP zone. She was in the front line of rioters and claimed police pulled her into their line and knocked her unconscious. She later sued the city.
