He's an organizer for the radical group BAMN and the husband of fellow BAMN member Liana Mulholland (https://antifawatch.net/ViewReport/98515bd9) whom he met at Berkeley. He's from Macau in China and was in the U.S. for a number of years but was arrested by ICE in 2016. It seems the young couple neglected to register their marriage with ICE which made Cheong an illegal. His BAMN buddies swung into gear and held several protests on his behalf. Whatever they did seems to have worked as Cheong remains in the U.S. as of 2023.
