Simmons admitted in an interview to participating in 2020 George Floyd riots in San Jose. She sued the city and received a $20K settlement. She's the co-founder of HERO tent, a group that shut down a freeway in a march. HERO stands for Human, Empowerment, Radical Optimism. The group's purpose is to provide support to rioters and claims to have fed and watered thousands of "protesters" (rioters).
