Kamali Derek-Richard Senior, aka Derek Senior, is the Organizing Director of Stand Against Foreclosure and Eviction (SAFE) who was at the CHAZ insurrection zone in June 2020. He gave a speech reminding people not to come to CHAZ to party or draw pictures on the sidewalk. Even though he was one of the organizers he said CHAZ was stupid. Senior also claimed that people who came to CHAZ to play were responsible for every death and injury. He later claimed in an interview that police collaborate with neo-Nazis. He's not a grifter but he held a GoFundMe for his dog that raised nearly $3K.
