Kellen Michael Sorber, AKA "van Gogh", (DOB: 05/02/91) was convicted of an arson at the Albany County Republican Party Headquarters in Laramie, Wyoming in 2018. The building had an occupied residence on the 2nd floor but Sober didn't care. He claimed his action was a spur of the moment decision based on his politics. Sorber claimed to investigators there was a 50/50 chance his marijuana use had an impact on his decision to commit the arson. He was nabbed by the FBI partially due to DNA evidence from a cigarette found at the site. He plead guilty and received a sentence of 44 months in the Federal pen plus three years of supervised release. His lawyer said Sorber was a brilliant student but he dropped out of high school and didn't get a GED. Sorber was gainfully employed at the Speed Goat Café prior to his arrest.
