https://nypost.com/2015/04/28/protesters-charged-in-attack-on-cops-during-demonstration/ A crew of rowdy protesters, including three academics, were charged with assault and resisting arrest Tuesday in Manhattan Supreme Court in the attack on cops during an anti-police demonstration last year on the Brooklyn Bridge. Baruch College Professor Eric Linsker, 29, Barnard instructor Cindy Gorn, 29, and Rutgers University instructor Zachary Campbell, 32, all pleaded not guilty before Justice Jill Konviser. MORE: At the protest, he was throwing garbage cans at police. Officers moved to detain them and he got into a scuffle with officers and broke one cop's nose. He was charged with assault, resisting arrest, rioting and criminal possession of a weapon. Police found a hammer and a small amount of marijuana in his bag. City University of New York (CUNY) refused to fire Linsker, instead reassigning him for a semester. The next semester he was back in the classroom. Linsker plead guilty to a felony charge of Assault in the Second Degree and misdemeanor charges that included resisting arrest and criminal possession of a weapon. He underwent mental-health treatment, and was allowed to withdraw the assault plea and was sentenced to three years’ probation on the five misdemeanor counts to which he pleaded guilty. As of 2021, Linsker works as a psychotherapist in Brooklyn despite the fact that his degrees are in the arts (he taught writing at CUNY). Additionally, a convicted felon who was treated for mental illness probably shouldn't work as a psychotherapist. In his spare time he writes poetry including such gems as "F--- the police/To rise as you/Disappear below current/Interpretations of observations/F--- the police". https://archive.vn/IWPUC https://archive.vn/fPB0u https://archive.vn/pO1fr https://archive.vn/wOzH5
