Gerald "Jerry" Koch spent months in jail in 2013 for refusing to testify in front of a grand jury about his anarchist friends. The grand jury was investigating a 2008 terrorist bombing of a Times Square military recruiting station. Koch became a darling of the Anarchist community for a while for his loyalty to his comrades. He gave some speeches on behalf of the Anarchist Black Cross after his release. Koch was a student at the New School at the time of his incarceration.
