Tania Marisa Kappner is a teacher and a member of the radical group BAMN. In 2013, she ran for some sort of leadership position in the Oakland Education Association. Kappner also ran for the NEA (teachers union) vice president. She describes herself as a long-time civil rights organizer. Kappner is or was employed by the UEAA, BAMN's legal defense wing.
