Notes

Felipe Andres Coronel, AKA "Immortal Technique", DOB: 02/19/78, is a Peruvian-American rapper affiliated with Refuse Fascism which is part of Bob Avakian's Evil Empire. He's appeared at numerous events sponsored by Refuse Fascism. Ironically, his family fled Peru in 1980 to escape violence caused by the communist Shining Path rebels. Coronel later enrolled at Penn State but got into a brawl and was incarcerated for a year. He was arrested again for beating and robbing t-shirt vendors at a concert in Santa Ana, California but was later released. He produced a documentary about the protests at the 2004 Republican National Convention. Coronel's lyrics often focus on American violence against native Americans which is hypocritical since the Spanish were even more brutal in suppressing natives in Peru. He was never very prominent in the rap scene and doesn't seem to have produced much music since the late 2000s. Coronel has an apartment in Harlem and may keep a second residence in Fort Lee, New Jersey. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immortal_Technique https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8iOHysXfJM&feature=emb_logo https://archive.ph/FpgA7 https://archive.ph/CnZTz
