He's a Rhode Island Democratic state senator who vandalized a car with a Trump bumper sticker in June 2023. Miller changed clothes in an order to avoid arrest. He later told police the owner of the car was a "gun nut". He was charged with vandalism. Miller previously told a person asking him questions about the 2nd Amendment to "go f**k yourself". Several Rhode Island state reps called for Miller's resignation after his arrest. He has a 1980 arrest for conspiring to violate the controlled substances act, but charges were dismissed. Miller has represented Cranston and Providence since 2006. He owns a Providence microbrewery and restaurant called the Trinity Brewhouse.
