Notes

Full name Turquoise Caroline Baker. She was one of the leaders of a month-long sit-in at an administration building at Johns Hopkins Univeristy in Maryland. The students were protesting the proposed creation of a JHU police force, ICE Contracts and the shooting of some guy named Tyrone. Unlike seven of the protesters, Turqouise appears to have left the building prior to the police action which cleared the building and resulted in the arrests of the remaining protesters. She is quoted as saying ",as a black woman she and other students have experienced racial profiling. She noted that Baltimore City police have poor “bedside manner”. Perhaps she shouldn't invite cops into her bedroom! After college, she appears to have moved back to the Milwaukee area. She received a BA in Political Science and International Studies from Johns Hopkins. She currently works as Research & Program Associate at the Brennan Center for Justice. https://archive.vn/EiZMG
