Denver Rose Foote (born Jun. '96) is a community organizer and activist who was rioting with friends at a George Floyd riot in Des Moines when she claimed to have been hit with police shields and maced. She was charged with participating in a riot, failure to disperse, criminal mischief and unlawful assembly. In 2022, she was part of a group that disrupted an Iowa Energy board meeting. Foote works as a hairdresser and ran for mayor in 2023. Her platform included improving abortion access, alleviating homelessness by turning parking lots into housing (don't the homeless already do this?), eliminating unmarked police cars, increasing green energy output and legalizing marijuana. She identifies as a non-binary queer and claims to be a person of color but doesn't look very black. She's half Mexican and half Filipino but wears Native American jewelry and claims to be indigenous. Unless a tribe of half Mexicans and half Filipinos came across the Bering Strait 10,000 years ago, I don't see how that's possible.
