Notes
Joseph Martinez-Vasquez, Jr., aka Joseph Martinez is one of the leaders of the Dream Defenders, a radical group active in Florida that staged a May 2023 insurrection at the Florida state capitol. He was arrested and charged with trespassing. A Miami Herald article interviewed Martinez during the 2020 George Floyd riots and described him as being "at the forefront" of Miami "protests". When 31 Miami cops contracted COVID at the super-spreader riots, Martinez blamed the police for not wearing masks. He's described on an art site as an Afro-indigenous activist and poet although he doesn't look very afro. He's Puerto Rican and lived in Wisconsin before he moved to Miami a few years ago. https://archive.ph/8KibI https://archive.ph/CXeZj https://archive.ph/Zxxd1 https://archive.ph/pzXup
