He's a radical and a member of New York City Fight Imperialism which is affiliated with the Marxist Workers World Party (WWP). Maniace gave a presentation on Hollywood's "racist" portrayal of North Korea at a 2015 FIST conference in NYC. He was also active in a 2017 recruitment drive by the WWP affiliated Students and Youth for a New America. He's anti-Israel and advocates for the Palestinians. Maniace was arrested at a 2017 Palestinian protest in NYC. He's a member of the Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, a group that's been investigated for links to terrorist organizations. Maniace was named in a U.S. Department of Justice letter which called for an investigation into links between Palestinian terrorist organizations and domestic terrorist groups. He seems to have shaved his cheesy mustache in recent years.
