Jonathan Batchelor Watterson (DOB: 03/14/71) is probably a member or associate of the Carolina Mountain chapter of Redneck Revolt as he was listed on their Facebook page in 2018. He's definitely a member of the Asheville Democratic Socialists of America who participated in a DSA sing-along in a 2020 Zoom meeting. Watterson's Twitter feed is predictably leftist. Watterson appears to have difficulty keeping a job as he's held twelve jobs since 2010, few of which utilize his impressive BA in psychology from Appalachian State and his degree in landscape architecture from SUNY. His recent jobs include: census enumerator, concierge specialist, high ropes ranger, mobile sales lead, Uber driver, group sales representative, timber ripper attendant, instructor/naturalist, cook, gardener and information system intern. He co-owns the Zapow art gallery in Asheville with his wife, who seems to be the couple's breadwinner. Watterson currently owns a hillbilly style home near the Asheville suburb of Barnardsville with his wife and several boarders.
