Notes

Dara F. Pluchino (born Feb. ’93) was arrested at a George Floyd riot in the Bronx in June 2020 and was cited for a curfew violation. She was studying for a master’s degree at Columbia at the time. Pluchino complained police gave her a bruise on her arm and that her zip ties were too tight. She was later one of the plaintiffs in a lawsuit against the city. The city settled the suit, agreeing to pay over a thousand protesters nearly $10K each which is probably more than many of them make in a year. She’s a social worker on the staff of Neighborhood Defender Service in Harlem. Pluchino lives in an apartment in Manhattan, north of Harlem. https://web.archive.org/web/20221206005701/https://images.law.com/contrib/content/uploads/documents/389/124987/Sow-v.-New-York-City.pdf (p 38) https://web.archive.org/web/20230614195646/https://neighborhooddefender.org/about/team/
