Gallia is allegedly connected on social media to the Von Gilbert / Smith faction of Rose City Antifa. He ran for the Oregon State Legislature twice and lost against Republican candidates (much of Oregon outside Portland is Republican). In 2020, he was elected chair of the Clackamas County Democrats although as of early 2022, someone else holds the position. Gallia worked for the Oregon Health Authority for nearly two decades.
