Notes
Rev. Joe Grange Stapleton (DOB: 05/08/89) is an ordained Methodist minister who was arrested as part of a group that interrupted a Durham County Commissioners meeting in March 2017. He's probably an associate of radical IWW member and Duke mathematics lecturer Rann Bar-On (https://antifawatch.net/ViewReport/6ddcb870) who was arrested with him. Social media posts indicate he may have attended "Durham Beyond Policing Town Hall" in 2015 which was "mostly peaceful". He also marched in support of a group that was arrested for tearing down a historical monument in 2017. At the time of his 2017 arrest, Stapleton was youth pastor at Cornerstone Community Church. He may have lost his job as a preacher as he was later referred to as a high school English teacher in the media. He taught a Marxist Bible class at Jubilee Baptist Church in Chapel Hill, a quasi-socialist, anti-racist, LGBTQ-affirming church. The class discussed Marx's theory of value. He lives in an apartment in Durham. There's a professional poker player and comedian with the same name who looks like a long-lost twin but I believe their different people. https://archive.vn/xbryY#selection-1713.36-1713.49, https://archive.vn/PzWzM#selection-779.48-779.61
