Linde admitted in court filings to participating in multiple protests/riots in Seattle during the George Floyd era. He has asthma and only participated in daytime riots because he thought he could avoid tear gas. He even held a one-man protest in front of a police barricade. Linde won a gender justice award from the Gender Justice League in 2019. He was living in the Capitol Hill neighborhood during the 2020 riots but seems to have moved to an apartment downtown.
