Notes
Robin Davis Gibran Kelley, who usually goes by Robin D.G. Kelley (DOB: 03/14/62) is a Marxist UCLA history professor associated with Refuse Fascism. He's described himself as, "a Marxist surrealist feminist who is not just anti something but pro-emancipation, pro-liberation." In January 2017, he was one of the signatories to a full-page ad in the NY Times sponsored by Refuse Fascism. The ad had the tag line "Stop the Trump/Pence Regime Before It Starts" so I suppose they were advocating an insurrection. Kelley isn't known to be directly affiliated with Antifa, but he wrote an article about the predecessors to Antifa. He was the primary force behind the republication of the book "Black Marxism" by Cedric Robinson. He also wrote a book titled "Hammer and Hoe" about communists in depression era Alabama. The term "Hoe" presumably refers to the farming tool. In addition to his job as a professor, he's had a few minor acting roles. The Marxist professor business must be profitable because he lives in a really nice $2.5 mil. home with his wife in west L.A. https://archive.ph/WUNhV https://archive.ph/nNVKw https://web.archive.org/web/20220811143537/https://refusefascism.org/wp-content/uploads/nyt-no-16-1-4.pdf(NY Times ad) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robin_Kelley
