Notes

Yi Mun Chong, aka Mun Chong, is the New York media coordinator for the radical environmental group Extinction Rebellion. She took part in an August 2023 protest that blocked the road leading to the Burning Man festival in Nevada. A new radical environmental umbrella group called Seven Circles sponsored the protest. It appears the radicals were upset that some tech billionaires fly into Burning Man on their private jets. The protest was on Paiute tribal land and extremely pissed off tribal police showed up and shut down the protest by driving a pickup through the barriers. If only cops in Democratic controlled cities had the balls to deal with protesters this way. It's unclear if Chong was formally arrested or just detained. Chong previously participated in a blockade of the NY Times printing plant in 2022 because she didn't think they covered the "climate crisis" enough. She lives in New York City. Chong goes by her middle name "Mun". https://archive.ph/0OhAE#selection-2629.39-2629.48 https://archive.ph/5FkDz#selection-3129.246-3129.255 https://archive.ph/QRfdr#selection-1181.46-1181.58 https://youtu.be/6-D3cPzIMXc
