Samson "Sammy" Ephraim Black (DOB: 07/29/79) is one of the core members of Rose City Antifa. Black is heavily connected on social media to the Von Gilbert / Smith wing of Rose City Antifa (RCA). He's been spotted at numerous protests in the city. He's also the President and co-founder of Portland Tenants United (PTU). He's married to fellow RCA member Margot Black with whom he co-founded PTU. Along with his wife, he's reportedly a key figure in Rose City Antifa. The attached social network photo underestimates his influence on the group. Black has a PhD in mathematics from the University of Oregon, works as a professor at Washington State University - Vancouver and is probably the smartest Black in Portland. Despite his PhD in math, and his possible Jewishness, he apparently can't count shekels very well as both Sammy and Margot filed for personal bankruptcy in 2014. He also has or had at least one Oregon state income tax lien. He also doesn't do math that well either as he falsely testified at a 2017 Portland City Commissioners meeting that the median Portlander owns zero homes (actually the median Portlander in 2017 owned one home as 53% owned a dwelling). Sammy may possibly be separated or divorced from Margot as some people finder services show them living at different addresses.
