She's a member of Asheville's Democratic Socialists of American (DSA) chapter, a group that often cooperates with Asheville ARA. Apparently the leftists in Asheville ran out of things to protest in 2017 so they held a demonstration against the Dakota Access pipeline which is a thousand miles away. Willis was one of the organizers and was interviewed at the protest. Ms. Willis, who's about as white as my ass (see attached photo, of Willis, not my ass), claims to be a member of the Muskogee tribe. I think she really belongs to Elizabeth Warren's tribe. She graduated from UNC-Asheville in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology; Minor in American Indian/Indigenous Studies. She claims to be the great-great-great-grandaughter of Muscogee tribe chief George Washington Grayson.
