Barton is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America and is allegedly connected to the Von Gilbert/Smith gang of Rose City Antifa. Otherwise not much is known about him. Unfortunately, the name is more common than I would have thought and there are several persons named Nathan Barton in the Portland area and it's difficult to tell who's who. One Nathan Barton died in 2020 on a Portland bridge but it's unknown if it was Antifa Barton. Barton was on the DSA's Environmental Committee in the late 2010s.
