She's an organizer and investigator for the radical animal rights group Direct Action Everywhere (DxE). Liu traveled to Vermont to "investigate" the mistreatment of dairy cows and presumably trespassed on the farms but wasn't arrested. She was upset because the cows were outside in the snow even though they were able to enter enclosed shelters if they chose to do so. She attended a 2020 Bernie Sanders rally in Nevada where three DxE protesters bared their boobies, but Liu remained clothed. Liu was arrested in 2021 for blocking the entrance to a Foster Farms plant in Livingston California and charged with trespassing and resisting a public officer.
