Notes

Grant T. Barnes (born June '82) was a member of the radical environmental group Earth Liberation Front (ELF) who torched seven SUVs in the Denver suburb of Cherry Creek in 2007. He wrote "ELF" on at least one of the trucks. The SUVs appear to have been chosen randomly from vehicles parked in residential neighborhoods. Police found seven additional firebombs in his car when they executed a search warrant. He was charged with a total of 15 counts including using explosives in commission of a felony, arson and possession of an explosive device. He had priors for identity theft, possession of graffiti materials and interference. Barnes was sentenced to 12 years in the pen for his arson crimes. Barnes has a biology degree but, presumably because of his felonies, has to work at a local hippy grocery store. He lives in a nice, old restored Victorian home that's been subdivided into apartments. A quick virtual drive through his neighborhood reveals that no one parks their SUVs on the street. I guess they know his reputation. https://archive.ph/fYjHN https://archive.ph/WHFG8
