Notes

Amman Fasil Asfaw is a BLM leader who was arrested at a violent 2020 San Luis Obispo BLM riot at which a car's windows were smashed in. At the riot, Asfaw physically blocked a car driven by a pastor. He was charged with false imprisonment, but his charge appears to have been dropped. Newspaper reports refer to Asfaw as a key leader in the protests. SLO rewarded his behavior by choosing him to lead the city's diversity taskforce. Asfaw was a student at Cal-Poly in San Luis Obispo at the time and was the chapter president of the National Society of Black Engineers. He describes himself as a fist generation American whose parents came from Ethiopia. He currently (2022) lives in a $700K townhome in Oakland. https://archive.ph/5zcBV#selection-1015.173-1015.184 https://archive.ph/zaOMn https://archive.ph/8kz5B https://archive.ph/FHKrN
