Notes

This non-binary 8th grade history teacher was fired from her job in Hilton Head, South Carolina for claiming theft isn't a crime and saying it's ok for black people to burn the mother f**ker down. She moved to Maryland where she now helps trans kids hide their gender from their parents. Cogdill said that concealing children's gender identity from their parents is official district policy. She was quoted as saying, "I can't imagine breaking a single trans or non-binary student's trust by sharing details about their gender identity with anyone… especially their parents." In 2023, she complained that the Maryland district she works in revised its policy to no longer require students to read LGBTQ books. She works in the heavily white privileged Silver Springs school district where the average household income is $84K. Cogdill is a biological female and uses the xe/xem pronouns. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CudXtTpQ7M&ab_channel=WillFolks https://archive.ph/dnJ04 https://archive.ph/U79YW https://archive.ph/IWHtM
