Michael Anthony Herbert is an eco-terrorist who was arrested at a 2019 Greenpeace occupation of a bridge over the Houston Ship Channel. He was charged with obstructing a highway, misconduct at an emergency, impairing critical infrastructure operation and aiding and abetting obstruction of navigable waters (Federal). Herbert was previously arrested at a 2014 Greenpeace "action" in Cincinnati where protesters hung banners from P&G's headquarters building and was charged with trespassing, burglary, vandalism and inducing panic. He took a plea deal and only received 80 hours of community service and probation. Herbert was living in Hyattsville, Maryland at the time of the bridge protest but he has ties to Chicago.
