Notes

Louie Perry Gibbs, Jr. (born Dec. '80) is a Portsmouth, Virginia pastor who's described in media reports as an NAACP leader who was arrested at a June 2020 protest of an historical monument. He seems to have led the rally with his buddy and local NAACP chapter president James Boyd (https://antifawatch.net/ViewReport/19663567). The monument was heavily vandalized during the protest but it's unclear if Gibbs was involved in the defacement. He was only charged with trespassing and charges were later dismissed. Gibbs has a huge number of traffic offenses and a few priors for misdemeanors such as contempt and trespassing which could be protest related. He also has bankruptcy filings from 2014 and 2017 and a large number of civil judgements. In addition to his gig as a pastor, he may have a day job as manager at a U-Haul business. He has a theology degree from Regents University. Gibbs lives in a modest but well-kept home in Portsmouth. https://archive.ph/dKjZ9 This was the riot where they turned a guy into mentally challenged https://twitter.com/MrAndyNgo/status/1420833951200038917
