JoAnn Cunningham Tigert (born Oct. '60) participated in the violent counter-protest to the Charlottesville Unite the Right rally. She said in an interview that Unite the Right was the most disgusting thing she ever saw next to the Jan. 6th riot. Tigert participated in a transgender rally in Staunton, Virginia in July 2017. She's a retired teacher and an elder at First Presbyterian Church of Staunton.
