Ann Marie Smith (DOB: 12/26/68) counter-protested a Klan rally in Charlottesville which took place about a month prior to the August 2017 Unite the Right Rally. Normally, that wouldn't be such a bad thing but she was asked by Antifa members at the rally to act as a human shield between the radicals and police and she complied. It's unknown if she attended the later UTR rally. She's a graduate of Union Presbyterian Seminary and is on the board of the Insight Meditation Community of Charlottesville. Smith is also an advisor to the radical clergy group Congregate Cville which helped organize the UTR counter-protest. She works as an oncology chaplain at the Emily Couric Cancer Center. It's uncertain if she's ordained or what religion she's affiliated with. Given her degree is from a Presbyterian institution and she's into meditation maybe she's a PresbyBuddhist. The collection plate receipts must be good as she and her husband own a $1 mil. home in Charlottesville.
