Carpinelli was arrested along with 48 others in 2011 at the Portland Occupy protest known as November 17 or N17 and charged with criminal trespassing for actions inside a Wells Fargo bank branch. The charge was unfortunately dismissed. He studied at Portland State and then obtained a master's degree in Pan-African stuidies from Syracuse. He appears to have been a doctoral candidate at Washington State but the gig apparently didn't work out for him. He claims to currently work as an education assistant in Portland Public Schools but the way he describes the job makes him sound like some sort of janitor. Carpinelli works at least part-time as a musician and is active in several left-wing social causes focusing on incarceration such as The Jericho Movement, the International Leonard Peltier Defense Committee and the IWW’s Incarcerated Worker Organizing Committee. He produces the Portland based World Beat band Wamba and the fusion band Ubuntu Project. DOB: 10/18/77
