Notes

(born Apr. ’47) She's the grand dame of Atlanta’s Antifa. Fontana is a long-time left-wing and lesbian activist who began her radical career as an anti-Vietnam war protester. She’s described as a working-class dyke from Queens (NY). Her latest cause is the stop Cop City movement, and she was arrested for criminal trespassing at a Cop City protest in front of a Home Depot in June 2023. She doesn’t have much of a criminal record for a long-time radical, but she was arrested for disrupting a lawful meeting and disrupting a General Assembly session in January 2020 at what appears to have been a protest at the state capitol. She’s retired but worked as a lawyer and later a paralegal at George Legal Services and Lambda Legal. She owns a condo in the Chandler Park neighborhood of Atlanta. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxFXOugBVbY&t=6s&ab_channel=GeorgiaStateUniversityLibrary https://archive.ph/9wJXe https://archive.ph/1yH5Z
