Yet another socialist professor at an Ivy League college. As reported on ProfessorWatchlist.org, Zenkus was one of the organizers of the Occupy Wall Street movement. He's an Adjunct Lecturer in the School of Social Work at Columbia University and has also taught at Adelphi University in the Graduate School of Social Work. His Columbia University bio describes Zenkus as an activist on issues of racial justice and income equality. He claims to have been trained by Al Gore as a presenter in the Climate Reality Project. Zenkus gave a Ted talk at which he claimed capitalism was harmful to children. Even though he's left-wing, he posted a video in May 2020 critical of Joe Biden's predatory sexual behavior and claimed he's an "expert in the fields of sexual violence family violence, and trauma," when it's not at all clear that he is. Due to the video, the Columbia student newspaper mildly criticized Zenkus for posing as an expert in a field he isn't trained in. Raiford is the founder of Don't Shoot Portland, one of the myriad defund the police / BLM groups. Unsatisfied with the thorough drubbing she suffered in the previous elections, she ran for mayor in 2020 but came in third place in a crowded field. Raiford has a rap sheet for harassment, disorderly conduct and interfering with a police officer although not all arrests are obviously connected to riots and she appears to have beat the rap on most of the charges. Raiford was arrested in 2015 at a rally for Michael Brown (the Ferguson dude) and charged with disorderly conduct. She was acquitted and later sued the PPD for $500K. Her Don't Shoot Portland filed a class action lawsuit against the PPD in the summer of 2020 over the department's use of tear gas at riots. Along with the Wall of Moms, her group filed a lawsuit against Homeland Security in 2020.
