He's an ELF member who was arrested in 2001 as part of a group that firebombed logging and cement trucks in Oregon. Sherman's father, a 9-1-1 operator in Portland, contacted the FBI with suspicions about his son which set of an investigation. Although notorious eco-terrorist Tre Arrow was later fingered as the ringleader by his associates, Sherman was identified as the leader during early questioning by police. Sherman, along with his friends Jeremy Rosenbloom and Angela Cesario turned state's witness and testified against Arrow in exchange for lighter sentences.
