Full name: Lauren A. Pespisa, AKA "Splendidspoon" on social media. As reported on the Turtle Boy website, Pespisa is a racist radical-left winger from the Boston area. She seems to hate black people, allegedly using the N-word against them, although her Sound Cloud feed has lots of black music. She's counter-protested at conservative rallies in the Boston area and has attended other "actions" including a flag burning in Quincy, MA in October 2020. Pespisa's social media tag is "Spendidspoon", probably because that's her favorite position. In 2017, she was arrested for trafficking meth but it's unknown if she was convicted. He participated in a series of fur ranch raids in the late 1990s with his bud, Justin Samuel. Together, they released about 6,000 mink in three states. After questioning by Wisconsin police about a raid on a mink farm, Young split with Samuel and went to ground. He wound up on the FBI Most Wanted list but evaded capture until 2005. He was charged with animal enterprise terrorism, criminal trespassing and extortion by interfering with interstate commerce. Samuel testified against Young at their trial but surprisingly, they received the same sentence and Young was ordered to pay less restitution. After his release from prison in 2007, he traveled extensively, speaking regularly at animal-rights conferences where he calls for aggressive direct action, maintaining websites including the Animal Liberation Frontline, and pursuing numerous writing projects. He's an ELF member who was arrested in 2001 as part of a group that firebombed logging and cement trucks in Oregon. Sherman's father, a 9-1-1 operator in Portland, contacted the FBI with suspicions about his son which set of an investigation. Although notorious eco-terrorist Tre Arrow was later fingered as the ringleader by his associates, Sherman was identified as the leader during early questioning by police. Sherman, along with his friends Jeremy Rosenbloom and Angela Cesario turned state's witness and testified against Arrow in exchange for lighter sentences. Like the other snitches, he was sentenced to 41 months in Federal prison even though he was facing 30 years. Sherman's mother was raped by a fellow cadet while she was training to become a sheriff's deputy. Does this explain his hatred for cops and other authorities? While a student at Portland State, Sherman worked for the Ralph Nadar presidential campaign. Sherman met and befriended Arrow and became a radical environmentalist in the early 2000s. Sherman was also arrested for climbing atop the Lumberman's Building Center in Clackamas, OR in early 2001. Sherman still lives in the Portland area. Strangely, the state of Oregon issued him a hunting permit in 2009 even though convicted felons can't possess weapons.
