Hetke was convicted of first degree sexual assault by threatening the use of a dangerous weapon and second degree assault of a mentally ill person in 2024 for a 2021 attack. In 2021, it approached a mentally disabled sixteen year old girl at a gas station and threatened her with a knife and told her it was a vampire. Hetke was booked a few weeks later on suspicion of first degree homicide in the death of a 28 year old disabled person whom it thought was possessed by a demon. Hetke had two prior sexual assault convictions for 2nd degree sexual assault with use of force and 4th degree sexual assault and was a lifetime registered sex offender. In addition to its sex crimes, it had charges for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property which could be riot related.
