Raiford is the founder of Don't Shoot Portland, one of the myriad defund the police / BLM groups. Raiford is prominent enough to have her own Wikipedia entry. She was tangentially involved in the infamous Possumgate incident in 1981 when she was 11. She appears to have had a successful career in business before founding her Don't Shoot chapter. She's also a would-be politician. She ran for the Portland City Council and a Multnomah County Commission seat in the early 2010s but was a distant also-ran in both elections. She organized a write-in campaign for sheriff in 2016. Unsatisfied with the thorough drubbing she suffered in the previous elections, she ran for mayor in 2020 but came in third place in a crowded field. Raiford has a rap sheet for harassment, disorderly conduct and interfering with a police officer although not all arrests are obviously connected to riots and she appears to have beat the rap on most of the charges. Raiford was arrested in 2015 at a rally for Michael Brown (the Ferguson dude) and charged with disorderly conduct. She was acquitted and later sued the PPD for $500K. Her Don't Shoot Portland filed a class action lawsuit against the PPD in the summer of 2020 over the department's use of tear gas at riots. Formerly known as Michael Scarpitti, Arrow was convicted for his role in firebombing logging and cement trucks near Mt. Hood in 2001. He's also a pioneering researcher in the field of pregnancy testing. When investigating the domestic abuse allegations, police asked Arrow if his girlfriend was pregnant. He said "Yes, based on the moon's alignment." He lists his employment qualifications as "shamanic journeying, Celtic heritage, shamanism and ancestor knowledge."
