Alexandra "Alix" Binney Davidson (DOB: 04/08/74) is an environmentalist activist who was described by Shutdown DC organizer Patrick Young as "among the best co-conspirators he's ever had the privilege of working with". Her "direct actions" date back to the 1990s when she was active with EarthFirst! and locked herself to a logging road. Davidson was one of the plaintiffs in a lawsuit against the Metropolitan (DC) Police Department. She complained in a 2015 article that the environmental movement was too white. In 2020 she taught a Direct Action workshop for middle schoolers which taught the kids about obstructions and sit-ins, marches and street takeovers among other things. Alana McLaughlin (formerly Ryan Anthony McLaughlin), AKA "Lady Feral" (DOB: 06/26/83) is a M>F trans and former special forces medic who's affiliated with left-wing gun groups. McLaughlin was featured in an article about Lefty LGBTQ people with guns although Portland isn't known to have an SRA or JBGC chapter. It's a pro MMA fighter and it claims to have handled security at a 2017 LGBTQ rally in Portland and to have chocked out Patriot Prayer's Joey Gibson. McLaughlin grew up in a conservative family in South Carolina that sent it to conversion therapy and tried to make it more masculine. It joined the military in an effort to become more manly. Its mother said she'd rather McLaughlin die in battle than live as a fag. After separating from the military it moved from North Carolina to Portland because NC isn't trans friendly. Its career as an MMA fighter makes one wonder if it "transitioned" because it was easier to beat up girls as a dude than to beat up other men. McLaughlin dropped a huge amount of weight after transitioning and now weighs in at a slight 145 lb. It has a huge stylized dragon tribal tattoo on its torso.
